Definition: The second annual Canadian Investment Green Company Award will recognize Environmental Leadership by a Canadian Financial Services organization or supplier organization serving the financial services industry.
Who Qualifies: This award is by submission only and awarded to any financial services organization, including retail, manager, dealer, integrated firm or supplier to the industry that has illustrated exceptional commitment to environmental leadership. The Jury will review any initiatives from January 1 2008 to September 1 2009 and will also consider longer term initiatives and practices. Large and small cap firms are encouraged to apply.
Objective: To reward and communicate environmental leadership activities within financial services industry in Canada to encourage reduced ecological footprint and wider adoption of future initiatives.
Criteria: Jury will consider the following:
- Governance
- Operations
- Community and Leadership
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement
In summary, the organization(s) that receive an award should show overall that:
- The green initiatives put in place have an economically sound underpinning
- A green methodology has been integrated into organization business plan
- There is an economic and business value in their sustainable practices
- These practices have a positive environmental impact as well as bottom line impact
This award is voted upon by a senior jury and is chosen from your submissions. Jury will take organization size into account during review.
An administration fee of $200 (plus GST) will be applied to each submission. |
