The Morningstar Canadian Investment Awards, the industry’s premier investment awards program, will hold its 18th annual gala on November 28th, 2012 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto. During the dinner and black-tie gala, companies and individuals are honoured for having made a difference in the lives of investors through superior investment products, service, marketing and education.

This event attracts over 500 guests annually and the awards program represents the year long effort of dozens of firms, analysts and expert jury members. Winning a Morningstar Canadian Investment Award is considered one of the highest honours in the industry.

Last years' 17th annual awards gala was a tremendous success. The evening kicked off with a cocktail reception, featuring a live auction, a scotch tasting, and jazz band. At the awards dinner, Canada's most celebrated comedian, Colin Mochrie, was our Master of Ceremonies. Neil Chapman and his band were also on-stage providing musical entertainment.

Throughout the evening, over 40 individuals and firms were recognized in a series of on-stage and rapid fire award presentations. As the winners accept their awards, they are escorted to the designated media area to be photographed and interviewed. Click here to view the list of winners.

The awards dinner was followed by a spectacular post party cocktail reception, featuring live music, a dessert buffet, and more scotch tasting. On their way out, guests were all provided a box of luxury chocolates and a copy of the 2012 Canadian Investment Guide. Click here to browse the photo and video galleries.

The 2012 gala promises to be even more spectacular and will feature a networking cocktail reception, an elegant dinner with table service integrated with the awards ceremony, live music, state-of-the-art multi-media production and an after-party featuring the launch of the 2013 Canadian Investment Guide.
