BRIAN O'NEILL, CFA

Brian conducts investment fund research and is responsible for due diligence on investment managers. He helps shape the strategy and tactics of the fund analyst team, and he is a member of Morningstar Canada's Investment Committee, which makes investment recommendations to institutional clients. Brian is frequently quoted in the media as an expert on the Canadian mutual fund industry, and he is a regular guest on the Business News Network (BNN). He also appears regularly as a featured presenter at various industry conferences. Prior to joining Morningstar in 2004, Brian worked for BMO Nesbitt Burns, specializing in managed products for private clients. Before that, he worked in the tourism industry, holding a management position within the St. Lawrence Parks Commission. Brian earned a bachelor of commerce (honours) degree from Queen's University and is a CFA charterholder.
