CHRISTOPHER HOLT

Chris is the managing editor of AllAboutAlpha.com, a popular institutional investing website founded in 2006 covering developments in the alternative investment sector. He is also a senior advisor to the Boston-based Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association, a global organization of alternative investment professionals that acquired AllAboutAlpha.com in 2009. Since launching AllAboutAlpha.com, Chris has written over 1,000 articles covering academic research, industry surveys, and major trends in alternative investing. His columns are read by over 10,000 readers per month, and in 2008, AllAboutAlpha.com was recognized by Pensions & Investments as one of the top 10 financial blogs in the world. In his capacity as an impartial industry commentator Chris also chairs or speaks at institutional investing conferences around the world and consults regularly with alternative investment professionals in North America and the Pacific Rim. Chris’ background includes business development with a mid-size long/short equity fund and a 10-year tour of duty in the management consulting industry. Separately, he has also consulted to the Geneva-based World Economic Forum and The World Bank. He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Alternative Investments and has served on several committees of the Canadian chapter of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA). Chris holds an MBA from Duke University, a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University and the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.
