SUNNY NG, CFA
Sunny Ng, CFA is Director of Fund Research for Morningstar Asia, overseeing Morningstar's qualitative fund research efforts in Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan, and is responsible for providing investment thought leadership on topics relevant to investors in Asia. Sunny was previously Director and Head of Alternative Research at Brockhouse Cooper, a Canadian institutional consulting firm, where he had overall responsibility for the firm’s research on alternative asset classes. Ng first joined Brockhouse & Cooper in 2006 as a Research Analyst and re-joined the firm in 2009 to lead the firm’s research efforts in the area of Alternative Investments. From 2007 to 2009, he worked at AllianceBernstein Institutional, as an Assistant Vice President and Manager in the Toronto office. Prior to 2006, he was an associate editor at Callstreet LLC and a field trainer and financial consultant in the retail investment Industry. He has authored numerous articles and spoken at industry conferences across North America and Asia on topics ranging from the private equity secondary market to de-composing hedge fund returns. In 2010, he received the AIMA Hillsdale Research award for co-authoring a paper entitled 'A Constant Volatility Framework for Managing Tail Risk'. Sunny graduated from the John Molson School of Business (Concordia University) with a Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA and is a CFA Charterholder.
